Midge, went to school at Violet school in Pricketts Fort area, her family are decendants of the Catawba Indian Tribe, Her mother and Father,raised her across from Pricketts Fort in a small home build by her Father, Gusta Menefee, later on the Family traded that home for a home on Sugarlane, in Rivesville, Marilyn was in her late 20`s when her Father, who was a Grantown coal miner all his life, starting at the age of 6, after her father passed away, their home was burned down in Sugarlane, her Mom & Brother, several years later sold the property, as it was one one the only land lots to have well water in Sugarlane, she has so many memories of her life during the years, she often told her Daughter several stories that she wanted to be passed along to her Grandchildren, she always enjoyed a trip spending the days at Pricketts Fort and remembering her Grandmother and telling such great stories to the family!
